IMGH Chapter 46
by syl_beeBurning with Rage
He hurled the wine bottle he had been clutching hard against the floor, then lunged at Han Yuancheng like a starving wolf.
Han Yuancheng had been on guard the whole time, afraid that Qiu Chen might suddenly make a move. He had already braced himself when Qiu Chen threw the bottle, and when Qiu Chen came flying at him, Han Yuancheng sidestepped out of the way.
Qiu Chen lunged again. Infuriated by the relentless grappling, Han Yuancheng snarled through gritted teeth, “Qiu Chen, that’s enough!”
“I’m getting what I want from you today — running won’t do you any good!” Although Qiu Chen was dead drunk, his movements were surprisingly agile.
Han Yuancheng kept dodging, but in one careless moment, Qiu Chen managed to grab his arm and yank him into his embrace.
A wet, squirming sensation spread across his cheek, reeking heavily of alcohol. Wave after wave of nausea rolled through Han Yuancheng’s stomach. He drove his elbow hard into Qiu Chen’s chest.
Qiu Chen howled in pain and doubled over.
“Han Yuancheng, you actually dare to hit me?!”
While Qiu Chen was hunched over, Han Yuancheng broke free from his grip and bolted toward the door.
He was almost there when he felt a sudden tightening around his ankle. The world spun, and he crashed down onto the floor.
Fortunately, a thick wool carpet cushioned his fall, so there was little pain, but his head swam with dizziness. By the time he came to his senses, Qiu Chen had already pinned him down from above.
“Run then — why aren’t you running now!”
Qiu Chen stared down at Han Yuancheng’s darkened face and exhaled a soft, sinister breath with a vicious grin. “Chengcheng, just be a good boy and give in to me.”
“Not a chance!” Han Yuancheng glared up at Qiu Chen and forced out each word through clenched teeth. “You bastard — let go!”
The person he had been fantasizing about for days was now lying beneath him, and at such a critical moment, there was no way Qiu Chen would stop halfway. He ignored Han Yuancheng entirely, burying his face against the smooth curve of his neck, biting and gnawing relentlessly, while his hands began tearing at the clothing that stood in his way.
Tables and chairs were knocked over one after another, the clattering and crashing shattering the stillness of the night.
Urgent footsteps sounded outside the door, and a moment later, an anxious voice called from beyond it. “Mr. Qiu, are you alright?”
Qiu Chen seized Han Yuancheng’s attacking fist and snapped viciously toward the door, “All of you get back — don’t you dare get in my way!”
Despicable as Qiu Chen was, he would never involve anyone else in matters like this — he intended to have Han Yuancheng pinned beneath him through his own efforts alone. Han Yuancheng, trapped underneath, had long since been seething with fury. Had it not been for the fact that he still needed to extract from Qiu Chen the method to break the formation and the whereabouts of Taoist Cao, he would have put a bullet in him long ago.
The two remained locked in a stalemate, one on top and one below. Qiu Chen was immensely strong, and gradually Han Yuancheng began to struggle to hold him off. He tried to bring his knee up to throw Qiu Chen over, but their bodies were pressed too tightly together for him to maneuver. By this point, Qiu Chen had completely lost all patience — lust had burned his reason to ash, and his actions grew rougher and more reckless.
Sensing Han Yuancheng slowly running out of strength, and knowing his bodyguards were right outside the door, Qiu Chen felt utterly secure and grew increasingly smug — so much so that he began to lose himself.
“Chengcheng… Chengcheng… I may as well tell you — in three months at most, I’ll be the head of the Qiu family and Chairman of Shengqiu International. If you’re smart, you won’t resist today. Just come with me willingly, and I’ll treat you well.” As he spoke, Qiu Chen reached down to undo Han Yuancheng’s belt.
What did Qiu Chen mean by that? Could it be that in three months, Qiu Rui would be gone entirely?
Han Yuancheng’s heart lurched. Caught off guard by the thought, he momentarily forgot to resist. Qiu Chen, mistaking this for persuasion taking effect, relaxed his guard in a flush of elation.
But before he could get the belt undone, the man beneath him suddenly snapped his eyes wide open. Han Yuancheng brought his knee up sharply and sent Qiu Chen tumbling to the floor. He snatched up the table lamp that had fallen during the struggle and smashed it down hard onto Qiu Chen’s head.
Qiu Chen didn’t make a single sound. His eyes rolled back, and he collapsed onto the floor.
