    You Bewitching Little Demon

The sound of a man’s dejected, frustrated voice rang in his ears. Qiu Rui snapped back to his senses and only then realized what had actually happened — he was already half-encircled in Jiang Yi’s arms.

Qiu Rui paid no attention to such an intimate gesture, as he was far more preoccupied with his earlier confusion. With trembling hands, he reached out and touched Jiang Yi — but this time, his palm did not pass through the other man’s body.

Qiu Rui stared in stunned, wide-eyed disbelief. “Jiang Yi, you… how are you…”

Jiang Yi gazed at Qiu Rui. The cool, detached composure he always wore had long since cracked and crumbled away, replaced by an expression of unprecedented sorrow and shock. Jiang Yi’s heart was sweetly warmed — Qiu Rui’s expression was clearly one of deep worry for him. At the same time, Jiang Yi realized that his actions had frightened Qiu Rui, and he hurriedly explained, “Silly Rui’er, what are you letting your imagination run away with!” Jiang Yi pressed his forehead against Qiu Rui’s and lightly pecked at the corner of his trembling lips.

Jiang Yi’s lips were cool, yet Qiu Rui reacted as though he had been scalded, awkwardly turning his face away.

The earlier bewilderment gradually faded, and Qiu Rui realized he had once again been tricked by a certain someone. He shoved the man in front of him away with force and said indignantly, “Jiang Yi, did you soul-project yourself out of your body? You’ve gone too far!”

This time, Qiu Rui had guessed correctly. Jiang Yi had pestered Chen Yuhe persistently until she gave him three Soul-Departure Talismans, originally intending to keep them on hand for emergencies — he hadn’t expected they would actually come in useful so soon.

Jiang Yi hadn’t planned to use one this early, but the atmosphere today had simply been too perfect, and he hadn’t been able to hold himself back…

“Rui’er, please don’t be angry! I just wanted to hold you, that’s why I…” The shameless man who had been pushed away immediately clung back, and with overbearing insistence pulled Qiu Rui into his arms again, saying softly, “Be good, stop making a fuss — just let me hold you for a little while!”

Qiu Rui struggled several times without success and snapped sharply, “Let go of me!”

Jiang Yi’s reckless disregard for consequences infuriated Qiu Rui greatly — just a moment ago, he had nearly believed something terrible had happened to Jiang Yi. What flustered and enraged him even more was that Jiang Yi had taken advantage of the moment to strike — and had actually… actually kissed him!

At the thought of that kiss, Qiu Rui’s cheeks burned without his control, intensifying his sense of the man’s outrageous, shameless conduct. The force in his arms increased, and his elbow drove hard into Jiang Yi’s armpit.

Jiang Yi winced in pain, but his arms refused to release Qiu Rui. He said plaintively, “Rui’er, you hit too hard! That really hurts!”

“It hurts and you still won’t let go!” Qiu Rui ground out through clenched teeth. “Let go now, or don’t blame me for being ruthless!”

“No — I won’t let go even if it kills me!” The shameless man’s arms tightened further, and Qiu Rui was trapped in his embrace with no way to break free.

    “I won’t let go!”

    “Let go!”

    “I won’t!”

Having managed with great difficulty to finally hold his dear, precious Rui’er in his arms, there was simply no way Jiang Yi would let go now. The shameless man became like a vine, winding tightly around Qiu Rui.

Qiu Rui was restrained and unable to move, his entire body bundled into the man’s arms. His face flushed red with fury — since when had Chairman Qiu, who in his daily life commanded the wind and the rain, ever been treated this way? Driven absolutely mad with rage, Qiu Rui actually opened his mouth and bit down on Jiang Yi’s chin.

Jiang Yi let out a startled cry — not because the bite hurt that much. It was because Jiang Yi was losing his grip on himself. He had originally just wanted to hold Qiu Rui — truly, with no other intention.

But he had greatly overestimated his own self-control. With the warm, soft, supple body nestled in his arms, Jiang Yi was already quietly regretting it.

A mere embrace was no longer enough to satisfy the clamoring heat rising within him. He wanted to truly hold Qiu Rui — that kind of holding that merged flesh and bone, two becoming one.

Jiang Yi had been enduring it, but that one bite from Qiu Rui awakened the beast within him.

That bite nearly made Jiang Yi turn predatory. Using what little reason remained, he reached out and pried open Qiu Rui’s jaw, drew a deep breath, and struggled to calm the scorching restlessness inside him. His voice dropped low and husky. “You little demon — keep squirming and I won’t be held responsible!”

Qiu Rui, still at the height of his fury, had absolutely no idea how dangerous the man beside him had become. He glared at Jiang Yi with the ferocity of an enraged little creature, and — perhaps feeling the first bite hadn’t been satisfying enough — shifted his target to the palm of the hand that was gripping his jaw.

Despite his distinguished status, Qiu Rui was still young and retained a certain childishness. The flustered chairman, having lost all composure, acted with the immaturity of opening his mouth to bite Jiang Yi again — this time, his palm.

He bit down precisely and accurately, his teeth pressing hard and leaving a deep set of marks.

Jiang Yi sucked in a sharp breath. The agitation he had barely managed to suppress surged back to life, growing more and more intense.

He lowered his head. The person in his arms was still glaring at him with indignant fury, clearly having no idea how provocative and utterly maddening that gesture of his was.

In that moment, Jiang Yi truly could not hold back anymore. His fingers pried open Qiu Rui’s jaw, he cupped Qiu Rui’s face in his hands, and he lowered his head without hesitation to press his lips against those vividly beautiful ones.

Qiu Rui trembled all over and began to struggle violently. But his resistance only earned him a deeper, more consuming advance.

    “Mm…”

Qiu Rui’s protests were swallowed whole by Jiang Yi, leaving nothing but broken, fractured sounds at the corner of his lips.

Jiang Yi’s kiss was dominant yet unhurried, tender yet not forceful — turning and pressing until Qiu Rui was left with nowhere to retreat.

At some point, Qiu Rui had stopped resisting, quietly nestled in Jiang Yi’s arms, allowing him to claim everything and take what he wished.

After that long, lingering kiss, both of them were breathing in disarray. Qiu Rui panted softly and turned his face away. The slightly averted cheek was lifted by an ice-cold palm, forcing him to meet the eyes of the man before him, and Qiu Rui was overcome with embarrassment.

    “Rui’er…”

    “Rui’er…”

In his ear came the man’s tender murmurs mingled with scorching breath. Qiu Rui’s heart was in chaos, like a ball of thread pulled apart and scattered. He kept his eyes downcast, not daring to look at the man above him.

Feeling that blazing gaze fall upon the top of his head, Qiu Rui involuntarily recalled the intimate moments just now, and his cheeks betrayed him again, flushing red as an evening sky.

Qiu Rui’s reaction landed in Jiang Yi’s eyes and kindled the flame stored deep in his heart. That fire burned hotter and hotter as Jiang Yi leaned in and encircled Qiu Rui once more.

He was clearly and consciously aware that this was dangerous — and yet his body was completely beyond his control.

Pushed to the point where even his eyes had reddened slightly, a thin veil of moisture gathering in them, Qiu Rui’s voice trembled too much to form a coherent sentence. “Don’t… let… let go…”

In his panic, Qiu Rui felt the weight lift from him — Jiang Yi had released his embrace, propping himself up on one arm against the bed, his body drawing back a little from where it had been pressed close.

Qiu Rui blinked in a daze for a moment and looked at Jiang Yi in confusion, utterly unable to figure out how the man had suddenly become so obedient.

What Qiu Rui had no idea of was just how alluring his expression looked right now. The forbidden fire Jiang Yi had forcibly suppressed crackled and roared back to life once more.

“Good grief! You bewitching little demon!”
